Green Drake Building Co. was founded in Bentonville, Arkansas by builder Devin Flaspohler, a native Arkansan shaped by the rivers, ridges, and quiet craftsmanship of the Ozarks.
After more than seven years collaborating with local Architects, Engineers, Municipalities, and, most importantly, Owners, Devin started Green Drake to bring craftsmanship and intention back to the center of homebuilding. The experience gained through those years of collaboration informs every project he undertakes—each one an opportunity to build with care, precision, and a deep respect for the community he's always called home.
Our name comes from the Green Drake mayfly—a species celebrated by fly fishers for its brief, extraordinary hatch. While the Green Drake itself isn’t found in the Ozarks, the rivers here tell a similar story.
Mayflies rise from their waters each season, signaling clean streams and healthy rhythms that have shaped life in this region for generations. That same rhythm guides how we build—measured, patient, and rooted in respect for the place we’re part of.
At Green Drake, we believe a home should feel like it belongs to the Ozarks—to the land, the light, and the people who shape it. Our work draws from the region’s long tradition of craftsmanship, where natural materials, honest structure, and a respect for place guide every decision.
Each project begins with a sense of observation—understanding the site, its orientation, and the materials that fit it best. We build with intention and patience, using techniques that honor the region’s heritage while creating spaces designed to last.
The goal is simple: to build well, to build honestly, and to create something that feels at home in the Ozarks for generations to come.
